Upcoming Release - Sunday, February 10th: Course Approval Enhancements
The Latitude Learning Team announces the upcoming release of the Latitude Learning LMS. This release is scheduled to be promoted to production on Sunday, February 10, 2013 and will focus on the following key enhancements to the LMS...
At the request of our Portal Administrator community, the Latitude Learning Team is enhancing the existing Course administration toolset to aid in the management of course enrollment approvals. This set of enhancements includes a new Approval Required selection option that will allow administrators to easily define whether a course is pre-approved or requires supervisory approval prior to confirming enrollment via a simple Yes/No selection during the Course Add or Edit process. In addition, this new selection option will be made available to all course Delivery Methods in the LMS (i.e. eLearning, Self-Study and Classroom...as well as Assessment and/or Virtual Classroom if enabled for your LMS Portal). This will enhance the flexibility of enrollment options and the extension of additional on-demand enrollment options for student-users, as defined by the Portal Administrator.

The Latitude Learning Team is in the final stages of deployment verification testing and plans to release these enhancements to Production on Sunday, February 10th. For current customers, this promotion effort will also include relevant mapping and migration of Delivery Methods and any existing course approval configurations to the new model.
