Virtual classrooms replicate the discourse and discussion of a typical classroom with a complete set of features for highly interactive and effective group learning. It brings together voice, video, data, and graphics in a structured online learning environment for that scales to hundreds of supported users.
Through its Online Facility functionality, the LatitudeLearning Learning Management System continues its long-standing relationship with Centra’s robust virtual classroom application. Seamless integration between the LMS and Centra allows administrators to identify a course as a virtual classroom delivery mode during the course creation process.
Events added to a virtual classroom course in the LMS automatically create corresponding sessions in the Centra tool. Students enroll in virtual classroom events and launch the Centra interface from in the LMS without ever needing to log into the Centra UI directly.
Training credit is determined based on a configurable percentage of content actually viewed by the student and returned automatically to the LMS. Additionally, events can be recorded and stored for future viewing.
The LMS’s Online Facility functionality can also be used with other virtual classroom and webinar vendors, such as WebEx, through a more limited link-out basis.
