Synchronize Your LMS Data
One Time Import Option
In many cases, you may have a legacy Learning Management System (LMS) that has reached the end of its useful life. However, in decommissioning that system, you do not want to lose the valuable data that it contains. We can import that data into your LatitudeLearning LMS.
Ongoing Synchronization
You might also have existing systems that will run in parallel with the LatitudeLearning LMS. Generally, they perform somewhat different functions than the LMS but will need to share data with the LMS. The process for integrating this data is much the same as a one time import.
Once the test synchronization is verified, the full data set will be synchronized with your LatitudeLearning LMS. The synchronization will be scheduled as determined by you. For example, the synchronization can be setup to run monthly, weekly, daily, hourly, or every 15 minutes if you like. There are also facilities for on demand synchronization.
Automate User Management
A standard user integration is defined as an application that is tasked with the responsibility of managing the user base of a LatitudeLearning Learning Management System through communication with a human resource management system. A user integration is a scheduled application that is able to run hourly, daily, or weekly. The exact time and frequency of this operation is determined by your needs but is usually set to daily updates during non-peak hours. Managing the user base of an LatitudeLearning LMS consists of creating new user accounts, updating existing user accounts, and deactivating user accounts that are no longer active accounts within the LMS.
Method of Transfer
Latitude employs several methods for transferring user information. The most popular method of user data transfer is via File Transfer Protocol (ftp). A location is designated to be the source repository (this is usually a new folder within the "upload" directory) and another location is designated to be the archive directory (this is often a directory named "archive" within the source repository).
Single Sign-On Solution Package
Latitude can provide integration with your existing network or user portal to enable a single sign-on solution so that the user is seamlessly authenticated into the LMS without having to re-login..
