The Latitude Learning Team announces the latest release of the Latitude Learning LMS. This release (version 18.104.22.168630) was promoted to production on Sunday, August 19 and included the following updates and enhancements...
Single Sign-on Configuration Update – With this update, single sign-on can be configured to support password synchronization between the customer portal and the LMS. This update will allow full use of existing Self-Certify functionality available with Self-Study course types in the LMS. With this update in place, LMS students will be able to re-authenticate to self-certify completion in a given self-study assignment using the same credentials entered as part of their single sign-on process.
Auto-Enrollment Logic Updates - This update addresses an issue reported by portal administrators where Auto-Enrollment services were not functioning as expected, and not fully enrolling students once interests were expressed in a given course. Logic was updated to resolve this issue, and additional logic was added to ensure that auto-enrollment does not process courses that are configured to use e-Commerce since this is not currently supported by the LMS. Specifically, logic was added to the:
- Add Offering function to NOT allow auto-enrollment to be turned on if Tuition > $0
- Edit Course function to NOT allow the user to change Tuition from $0 to > $0 when Offering(s) exist with auto-enrollment turned on. If this change is attempted, an error message is displayed stating that Tuition cannot be greater than $0 if auto-enrollment is set to yes on existing open Offerings.
Instructor Scoping for Offering Activities - With this update the scoping logic associated with Offering activities has been adjusted slightly so that if an instructor is assigned to an offering then only the assigned instructor or an administrator can update the offering. If no instructor is assigned to an offering then any instructor or administrator can update the offering.
