Updated Advanced User Search tool with a new criterion  “User Last Login Date” for the Search Users, Announcement, and Batch Enrollment tools. With comparison options “Is On, On or Before, On or After” administrators can now identify and target a group of users by last LMS activity date for an announcement or mass course enrollment.

LMS Roadmap: Audience and Unlimited Enrollment

Two recent LatitudeLearning enhancements improve the system’s ability to dynamically manage users who meet certain criteria and enroll large groups of users: Audience and Unlimited Enrollments. An Audience is a collection of users who meet certain criteria: they all have a specific set of job functions, they are all part of a specific organizational unit (or units), or they may have all completed certain training curriculums. Unlimited enrollments is a new approach for enrolling large collections of users via an offline process.

Polaris, headquartered just outside of Minneapolis in Medina, Minnesota, was founded in 1954 and has grown to be an international enterprise. With Polaris' immense expansion, it became apparent that technology would be a pivotal resource to their success. Audience is a new concept for the LMS, specifically intended to improve the tools available to administrators for managing groups of users. In response to user requirements for enrolling large groups of users, we have created an offline (asynchronous) batch processing option for enrolling large numbers of students. In addition, we have increased the capacity for quick (synchronous) enrollments to 100.

According to Jenifer Lemcke, Chief Operating Officer of Weed Man USA, training is the root to success and we couldn’t agree more. As one of the largest franchisors and sold out territories in Canada, Weed Man was ecstatic to transition to the United States franchise market. Since then, they’ve been growing like weeds and they owe it all to their training during the onboarding process and ongoing education available for their franchisees. Weed Man is well-known for providing environmentally responsible fertilization, weed control and integrated pest management services. Initially, new franchisees will travel to Toronto, Canada to experience nine days of critical training.

LMS Roadmap: Student UI Prototype & New Admin Functionality

Last month we launched a click-through prototype to illustrate our design concepts for a new student experience with the LMS. You can see our approach to the next generation UI for the LMS: an extended use of icons, a completely new and refreshing approach to page layout and a responsive design that we think our clients will really appreciate. In addition, we have just completed a revision of some of the administrative interface. Some of our clients had informed us that they wanted to delegate more day-to-day management to the administrator role instead of having the portal administrator do all the work. To accomplish this, we implemented a new approach for several tools in the system, including Changing Quick User Search, Change the "Deactivate" button and Pre-populate the advanced user search page.

How the Only Water Irrigation Conservation Company Trains Franchisees

Conserva Irrigation prides themselves in being the only irrigation company founded on the principles of water conservation. The company is committed to changing the way residential and commercial properties use water. According to Russ Jundt, the founder of Conserva, the company has helped conserve around 40-60% of water usage to date. With over 46 million residential systems and 20-22 million commercial systems in the country, this can translate into a substantial benefit for not only the economy, but for the environment at large. Currently, Conserva Irrigation operates 20 units and has 9 other dual-territory owners.
