LMS Roadmap: New UI based on icons and responsive design

4/20/2017 - Posted by Tom Merritt

This monthly series will keep you informed on improvements and future enhancements that will make your LMS experience even more powerful. We have moved to an “open development” methodology, where we make clear to our clients what we’re working on. This means you can have a say in what is done and how it is done. Each enhancement being worked on has a due date, and each proposed enhancement has a “likes” rating, which determines the order in which it will be worked on.

Trends come and go, and only a truly great company is able to capitalize on a trend, and turn it into a successful business. That is exactly what Vaporfi is doing. They were able to predict that vaping was going to be big business when the vapor movement began in 2010, and they jumped at the opportunity to capitalize on the young, hip, trendsetters that took to vaping early on in Miami. Now, Vaporfi operates 11 corporate stores, and oversees 21 Vaporfi franchises around the country. They also have a booming online business, which allows vaping enthusiasts to build their own e-cigarette, custom blend their own flavors and purchase vaping supplies. A retail branch of International Vapor Group, Vaporfi has revolutionized the way vaping enthusiasts buy and use vaping products.

LMS Roadmap: Refinements to Course Topics, Keyword Search and Move Enrollments

3/23/2017 - Posted by Tom Merritt

This monthly series will keep you informed on improvements and future enhancements that will make your LMS experience even more powerful.

Recent product enhancements: Course topics provide a browsable hierarchy of course categories, or topics, so users can browse the course catalog by topic instead of searching for keyword matches. Each topic can be subordinated to other topics, so you can have different branches for any subject. Moreover, if a course is associated with a topic at the bottom of the tree, it will show up when you are browsing at the top of the tree as well. This is an ideal way to provide your students access to the course catalog based on categories of subject matter content. All they need to do is browse! The switch to turn on Course Topics is located on the LMS Information page.

Enjoy Your Party Sets the Standard in Service Staffing

3/7/2017 - Posted by Meredith Kay

We all have our opinions on what great service looks like. Some of us are not very demanding and others expect service personnel to go that extra mile. However, most of us can agree that customer service in this country just isn’t what it used to be. Enjoy Your Party is on a mission to change this. Launched in 1994, Enjoy Your Party began as a part time endeavor to help people find great servers for private parties and events. Soon there was a demand for professional wait staff in the catering industry and she started the company with five employees and a handful of clients. Her client list grew rapidly, as word got around about how professional, friendly and competent the Enjoy Your Party staff was. Today, Enjoy Your Party employs more than 450 trained service professionals and they staff events in five different states. The company has also recently started a franchise program and their first franchise business will be located in Atlanta.
