LatitudeLearning's Manager Approval has been configured in two specific areas. First, Managers can approve self-registrations. Second, Managers can approve course enrollments.
Managers can approve self-registrations so that new registrants who attempt to register cannot gain access to LatitudeLearning until a Manager reviews and approves the request. This setting is set in the LMS Information Page and will affect all organizational units in your LMS.
Approve Course Enrollments
Managers can also approve course enrollments on a course-by-course basis. When this setting is turned on for a course and a student tries to enroll, he will be notified that the course is Pending Approval. In their Self-Studies widget on the home page, the course will be identified as seen in the screenshot below.
When the Manager logs in, she can visit the Approval tab and either approve or reject the student enrollment. If the course is set up with tuition, Managers can make the payment on a student’s behalf during the manager approval step.
When configured, Manager Approval provides oversight for self-registration, course enrollments, and ultimately how students are using their professional development time.
