Virtuoso Joins the Channel Performance Network to Advance AI-Powered Mentorship

Virtuoso Press Release CPN

Virtuoso brings AI mentorship and personalized learning expertise to CPN, helping organizations explore new ways to develop people and improve performance across distributed networks.

Virtuoso has joined the Channel Performance Network (CPN), adding AI-powered mentorship and personalized learning expertise to a growing network of companies focused on improving performance across franchise, dealer, distributor, reseller, contractor, service partner, and other distributed organizations.

Founded by Jared Shaw, Virtuoso is developing an AI mentorship platform designed to make learning more personal and interactive. The idea is not simply to use AI to generate more training content. It is to use AI to better understand the individual learner and provide guidance based on what that person already knows, where they need help, and what they are trying to accomplish.

That is an important distinction for organizations trying to improve performance across large partner networks.

People do not all come to training with the same experience. A new franchise owner has different needs than someone who has operated a location for ten years. An experienced technician has different questions than someone just entering the field. Dealers, resellers, managers, and other partners bring different levels of knowledge and experience to the job.

Training still needs to get everyone to the right performance standard, but the path to getting there does not have to be the same.

Jared Shaw and LatitudeLearning Founder and CEO Jeff Walter discussed that challenge during an episode of the Training Impact Podcast, Virtuoso: Unlocking the Future of Mentorship Through Artificial Intelligence.

Shaw explained what personalized learning can look like when AI begins to understand the individual learner.

“If it remembers who I am versus the twenty other students, that makes all the difference, along with what the teacher needs: the structure of the lesson and an engaging experience,” said Jared Shaw, Founder of Virtuoso.

Walter connected that idea to something organizations have been trying to accomplish in training for years: helping different people reach the same required level of capability without assuming everyone needs exactly the same learning experience.

“That’s where you really get effective and efficient learning. We all have to get to the goal line of the curriculum, but we all get there differently,” said Jeff Walter, Founder and CEO of LatitudeLearning.

That conversation gets to the heart of why Virtuoso is a good fit for the Channel Performance Network.

CPN was founded by LatitudeLearning to bring together the different areas of expertise organizations need to improve performance across distributed networks. That includes training, knowledge, operations, technology, leadership, measurement, customer experience, AI, and other disciplines that influence how well partners perform.

Mentorship belongs in that conversation.

One of the challenges with traditional mentorship is scale. Experienced leaders, trainers, technicians, managers, and subject matter experts can provide context and guidance that is difficult to capture in a course. They can ask questions, recognize where someone is struggling, and help people work through a problem instead of simply giving them an answer.

But those experts cannot personally mentor everyone across a large franchise, dealer, distributor, or partner network.

AI creates an opportunity to rethink that limitation.

Virtuoso is exploring how AI can extend the mentorship experience by making learning more responsive to the individual while still keeping it connected to the organization’s curriculum, standards, and expectations.

That last part matters.

During the podcast, Shaw also talked about the importance of combining interactive learning with reliable company materials. AI can make learning more conversational and engaging, but organizations still need people learning from the right information and working toward the right standards.

For Channel Performance, this creates an interesting connection between training, knowledge, and AI.

Training helps people build capability. Knowledge resources give them access to trusted information. Mentorship helps them understand how to apply what they know. AI has the potential to connect those experiences in ways that are more personal and available at scale.

The opportunity is not to replace trainers, managers, mentors, or subject matter experts. It is to find better ways to extend their knowledge and help more people benefit from it.

That is especially valuable in distributed organizations, where the people responsible for delivering the customer experience, selling the product, servicing the equipment, or operating the business may be hundreds or thousands of miles away from the corporate team.

Improving their performance takes more than one system or one training program. It takes the right combination of training, knowledge, technology, leadership, operations, measurement, and support.

That is what CPN is being built to bring together.

Virtuoso adds an important perspective to that network by helping us explore how AI-powered mentorship can make learning more personal while still keeping people focused on the knowledge, skills, and performance standards the organization needs.

Organizations do not succeed because they have partners. They succeed because their partners perform.
